A Media Planner’s role is to give advice on which media types are suitable and likely to be most effective for different campaigns. Candidates need to analyse what the client’s goals from the campaign are and then suggest a strategy to implement that campaign on a global, national or regional scale. Once the campaign is completed, the Media Planner must provide the client with a detailed analysis of the impact and effectiveness achieved. Other job titles include Head of Planning and Activation Planner.
